The Scottish Arctic Club has an Expedition Fund from which it makes financial awards to encourage young people to explore the Arctic. The fund is maintained through donations by Club members. The size and number of awards made is determined by the relevance of the application and the funds currently held. In recent years awards have ranged from £250 to £5000. For further information please see our criteria and application process.
The Scottish Arctic Expedition Fund is a registered Scottish charity SC046857. Donations to the fund are welcomed and can be made using the information on our Donation Form.
To me the Expedition Fund is a fantastic initiative which gave me a unique opportunity to immerse myself in the Arctic and learn a huge amount about the environment, people and wildlife. It also taught me a lot of expedition-specific skills, and has increased my ability to deal with all manner of challenges.
It has changed what I see as possible and I’m hugely grateful for the opportunity, and hope it will lead to more trips in future.Liam Tracey, SAEF Award 2022
