SAC Members enjoyed canoeing, climbing and the traditional bonfire at the Solstice Meet, all the more appreciated after a last minute cancellation last year. By a minor miracle, the heavy rain on Friday stopped on arrival at Farletter and we had a gloriously sunny weekend. ‘The Moth Lady’ again woke early to identify the beautiful creatures flying around while we slept. Some members climbed at Comic Crag near Kingussie on Saturday, then a larger party canoed to the Loch Insh Watersports Centre for coffee on Sunday morning. A great opportunity to catch up and chat about adventures in Scotland and the Arctic! We are very grateful to Myrtle Simpson and her son Robin for hosting the Solstice Meet again this year.
